Windows Live Messenger & Mozilla
    #7778902 -

So, is there anyway to set Mozilla firefox as the Default opener for any Emails I check or any links I click/open in Msn?

Thanks!

that pisses me off too.

I just got to the point where I opened hotmail in mozilla.

I swear to god I could click the icon in my MSN messenger thingy, think "Oh shit that was a dumb idea", go to mozilla and open a new tab, type in hotmail, sign into my inbox, and delete junk mail before IE finally even opens.

it's fucking ridiculous.

I've used mozilla for about 4 years, but after I got this new laptop with vista I wonder who the hell can even function with IE and Vista?

yeah, i was just thinking about this earlier today. i almost never check my hotmail but when i do i'd rather click the button on messenger, than open a new tab in mozilla and have to enter my password.

maybe there's a registry key that could be changed?

i believe messenger opens ie explicitly instead of the default browser, so i don't think there is a way to configure it for firefox short of microsoft fixing this.

for most apps, yes it will cause them to use firefox, for live messenger and some others it will not.
