I think most of us were like that our first time and I know that I was. I had cultivated a few flushes before my very first print making attempt and I had somebody help me quite a bit before I actually got up the balls to go and do it. Well, to make a long story short, it made me one kickass syringe and I was happy as a MOFO. I think one of the most important things he told me was: "It's not as hard as everybody makes it sound..." and now I realize how true this is.

Most of those teks deal with a clean sterile syringe.

If you have a dirty syringe like the one you are describing..... you might want to suck in some 99% alcohol and then swirl it around a bit....then squirt it out.....then suck boiling hot water into the syringe and squirt it out 3 or 4 times to make sure its really clean.

just a thought.
