Ran a mile and my legs hurt

I ran a mile on a treadmill two days ago, and today my legs (mostly my calves) are in a moderate amount of pain. It's nothing specific, like I pulled anything. Just a general ache, along with being painful to the touch.

I never really get any exercise. Does this sound alright? Will the pain go away as I continue to run on a regular basis?

yeah,you just overdid it is all. try stretching exercises before getting into the actual workout .

what i understand is the way that muscles get stronger is that they tear and then heal themselves and then scar tissue builds up and that is stronger than the previous..

i also heard that there is an acid or chemical that is released when they are being healed that makes the tissue sore..

if you continue to do this, eventually your legs will grow accustomed to the exercise and wont hurt as bad until your push yourself harder (say.. running two miles)

yeah this is very common
especially for those who are inactive for long periods of time
youre body isnt used to it, and youll feel bruised for a few days
warming up and stretching after really help to reduce or prevent the pain.
yesterday i played badminton with 3 of my roomies, after having done nothing for a few weeks. the next day my ass cheeks hurt so much, i cant sit down or walk up stairs. I actually kind of enjoy the pain
