Was it black cow? I always favored "Kookie Kows: Kooky Kow Krap" (it's the kookiest)

I am using manure bought from Lowes for my outdoor patch. I have yet to find out of it works or not. If you goto the Advanced Cultivation forums there is a thread thats called something like "Store bought compost... Lets investigate". Basically, people posting on their success with bagged manure. It CAN work.

Walmart. I can tell you now, it will generally be the same thing. Try that 3-in-1 shit.. I was reading some posts about some good results with that.

He's referring to the Scott's 3-n-1 Organic Compost threads and yes they have fruited incredibly well.
Only problem is Scott's doesn't produce the 3-n-1 Organic Compost any more...so grab it while you can if you plan on using it.
Peace,

do you have to add straw to the 3:1compost or use it as is? wal mart had that 3:1 stuff, but no cow manure. if i can use compost straight with good results ill do that , i already have a hole dug so i can start tonight!

Mix the compost 50/50 half vermiculite and half compost! the vermiculite lightens the compost and makes for more suitable colonization I cant find any of that 3in1 compost where I live. I'll have to see if can get someone to ship me a bag

Yo, PJ
Have the Lowes in your area ship some in. Lowes advertises it on there web site, so they are obligated to sell it. While Scotts say they no longer make the stuff, there is lots around. The Garden Section manager at Lowes will order some in (if he can get it), if you ask with a smile. They did for a FOAF. It isnt here yet, but they say it's on it's way. Cheaper than having someone ship you a bag .
