I believe you mean OLGA, and yes, it was awesome.  It's bad enough the record companies have to crack down on file-sharing, but now we can't post guitar tabs?  WTF?

Err, not OGLA....OLGA. The OnLine Guitar Archive. Was a massive repository of guitar and bass tab. It's what all the current tab sites want to be.

i've played bass for a couple of years. i'm pretty much rubbish because i've never practiced too hardcore, but i can keep a rhythm and improvise enough to jam with friends.

lately though, i've been thinking it'd be cool to pick up the guitar. so many more people can relate to it, even if it's just strumming chords. figure it couldn't hurt to give myself another musical perspective too.

i'll keep this site in mind if i ever find the time to start investing hours of practice into learning.

That pisses me the fuck off.  I want to play some song and I don't feel like figuring it out for myself and I go to look for the tab and I see all these messages about how tab is like illegal now.  Bull fucking shit.  Don't the record companies know that tab makes playing songs easy for amateurs and when you can play a song it gets you interested in the artist and thus more likely to buy the CD's?  Seriously, a lot of songs I know I learned from tab and then I went and bought the CD's to play along with it.
