haha u kidding me right? the best MMO out there right now is WoW, nothing comes close and nothing ever will. Thats why 10 million people world wide play the game. The only problem with it is that sometiems u gotta deal with 12 year old noobs that cant heal for their life, or 12 year old noob warriors that cant hold aggro.

Wow will never come close to what UO was when it first came out. Now UO is shit though, but WOW is pretty lame as well. The whole PVP system is fucking gay, and the no looting shit is lame as fuck too.

I got Guild Wars for my laptop about a month ago and it runs pretty well. But I must say... It hasn't held my interest very long at all.

WoW used to own my life. I refuse to give those people any more of my money though.

For WoW, yeah, you have to pay a monthly subscription fee to play.

Guildwars only makes you pay once for the game and then you never pay them again.

OMG dude I cant believe you just said that... WoW is such a PIECE OF SHIT compared to old school UO.

You have no options in WoW, you cant just attack anyone for the hell of it. The few people who you can attack you cant loot when you kill them. Hell you cant even talk to your enemies, its all scrambled letters. You have to ask people of the same alliance to 'duel' if yu want to fight. What a piece of shit.

Old school UO, you could attack anyone, and when they died you could loot everything they owned, no mater how valuable, everything dropped. Then afterwards their ghosts would appear talking like OOooOOooO OOo, and you knew they were bitching cause they just got owned. so you promise to open a gate that would let them go to town, but it leads them to an island where they get stuck for 8 hours. Not to mention you could RECALL anywhere you liked, you could own a house, keep, or castle. You could give weapons/armor away (they werent Bound to you??!!?). And you could Steal from other people.... anything, even the keys to their house, then you could get in their house, and loot it completely.

All you young people who think WoW was the best, you will never understand the legacy of UO and how it surpassed all other online games that exist today. WoW is seriously like scraps of shitty meat put on the floor for us by comparison.

Anyways.... If you want a decent online game that is free, check out Travian, its a free online browser game. Its slow real time, but you can attack and pillage other peoples villages.

Also check out Darkfall.. its a 3d game that is hardcore PvP.. (attack and kill anyone, even in town, full loot; you can build cities and ships and attack other peoples cities. Over 500 spells. Real time weather, bunch of quests, and craft all your own items. It hasnt come out yet, but the beta is supposedly coming out (december 20th..?).

WoW is a big pile of shit. Gimme old school (velious at the LATEST) EQ anyday. EQ does suck now, though.

Is EQ 2 bad? I never played it, I don't think my computer would run it...
