I know hardly anyone checks out the gaming forums so I'm tossing a post here..

Anyone play?  Its been in release for a few months now, is pretty stable and they are still of course doing the typical MMO 'first 6 months we bug fix and balance' stuff, but its awesome if you love PVP based MMO's.

If you are a carebear its not for you.

Full loot, full pvp. No true 'safe' zones.  The game rules are built around semi realism. I.e. there is no mystical force that stops you from attacking allies.

Its also FPS style combat. No auto aiming your sword, bow, or magic spells. 

Anywho. I recommend anyone who wants a new, fresh mmo experience to check it out.  It's skill, not level based, so you get more powerful just by doing the action you want to get better at.  I.e. pick up a sword and kill shit with it, and your sword skill goes up..

I'm Mind Freeze in game.  In a small tight knit clan called sick bastards.  Hit me up if you play or pick the game up and need a hand.

I looked forward to this game for almost 10 years. Its first release date was 2003 heh. From what I've heard, the game doesn't deliver most of what it promised but I'm still going to try it for myself very soon.

I've been waiting for a long long long time with you, trust me on that one.

IMO they delivered more then I expected, and are doing a good job at it.  Being they are a small company its a process, hence the long dev time, but I have faith.

Pretty much the same ^, i've been following this game for a long long time but i haven't got to trying it yet.
If half of what they promised is in it then it has to be a pretty sick game

i have heard of this one, sounds cool but the official website is rather ghetto. i shouldnt have to torrent a game they want me to pay for monthly. i have actually just started playing City of Villains, quite wicked :happyheart:

they haven't released a north america server yet though have they?
dealing with euro lag in what seems like an almost FPS like game would be a bitch.

I played for a month and half then quit.  Game is a pay to play beta.

If you want the true old school action then go back to UO.  I just started again on Divinity server.

The only mmo that looks like it might hold my interest that is coming out in the near future is Star Wars: The Old Republic. Only because I loved star wars galaxies, and bioware is know for great star wars games.

Darkfall sucks!  I played.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND MORTAL ONLINE.

It is Darkfall with better developers,  better graphics,  and all the features and theory behind the game plus a whole lot more.


Check it out.  Beta signups have just opened and Beta actually starts this month.

Thanks me later if you like the hardcore PvP genre of MMORPGs.
