Age of Conan part duex

So I bought it.  I'm installing it now. 

Who plays and on what server?  None of my local friends who I would normally play with are going to buy it so I dont want to quest alone :frown:

I heard that this game is terrible. Supposedly the PVP system sucks sweaty nuts and if you're used to "button mashing" you're not going to like it very much. It's supposedly pretty complicated. This all came from a WoW junkie who had only been playing for a few days though. You'll have to give an update with your opinion on the game.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

Yeah every opinion I've heard has either been 100% for it because its so danm uber and blah blah and the other half of people hate it.

I like complex MMO's.  I LOVED Starwars Galaxies because of its complexity.  Sony fucked that all up though.

I also like good PVP and everyone I've talkde to says the PVP is realyl good in AoC.  so who knows.  I'm installing now, so Ill report after I play a bit.

I'm starting to look forward to stargate worlds. A lot of the class/combat/etc stuff reminds me of galaxies in some ways. Plus it's sci-fi and not more boring vanilla fantasy crap. It's not due out till end of this year at least though, sigh. Though beta starts in July, hopefully I get accepted heh.

As for AoC, I've heard really really mixed reviews about it. Lots of negatives though. Shrug, doesn't seem worth spending money on at this point. Though I did just get a raise a work, yay.

I'm looking for a time sink and AoC seems to be the only real competition to WoW and I'm not playing wow ever again.

I'd rather be playing darkfall, but who knows if its ever coming out.

Brugman: word.  Its the only culture pvp server so it wont be hard to find me. :smile:  The culture pvp is cooler then standard pvp IMO.  Its race based wars so you dont et jumped by your own guys outside of a city, but the other races are auto pvpenabled

I cant remember their name but its the only ones that can be mage types.  I'm playing a demonologist.  The race worships the snake god set.

Going to buy it soon?  Id have a lot more fun leveling with someone then being solo.

I've played for a few hours so far and its enjoyable.  Different enough from WoW to be interesting, but similar enough to not have to relearn every single keystroke.

Someone roll a new character on Bane (I think its bane) The culture PVP server and play with me.  I'm all alone and cold, crying, and fizzling my demonolgist spells. :frown:

Since its culture pvp we need to be the same race I think but I'm not sure.  I'm only level 7 so you could catch up way quick

i played 'till maybe level 10 and couldn't bring myself to play anymore. i had a whole lot of problems getting it to run as well. i think aoc had a lot more potential.

Game gets much better after you leave the startup zone, and I think they have a new patch every 2 weeks for more content? I having a pretty good time with it, easy leveling too.

I'm level 9 right now.  So far its decent.  It is definately a major copy of WOW with a LOT of things, but is different enough to be good.  I did the culture pvp because thats what darkfall is and I think its a good way to have forced pvp, but in a more realistic storyline way.

IMO as long as it flows well for me and I can find some fun people to play with ill probabl stick with it for a long while, or until darkfall comes out (assuming darkfall is as uber as they make it out to be)
