I just spent an hour online looking for how to make chicken fried rice, and it got me thinking... Why doesn't the shroomery have a forum where people can share recipes, that way, I wouldn't have very far to go next time I want to cook fried rice, orange chicken or whatever. Gnutella was a file-sharing program originally set-up to swap recipes, and it was pretty succesful for awhile. So what do you say guys? We can make this work click _*HERE*_ to jump to VOTING BOOTH - Please, vote "YES" DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!

It's a fact: the majority of the people on the shroomery do drugs, but if there is one thing that they all have in common, they all eat. I think a recipe forum is a great idea, a place where members can share there tips and tricks, post recipes, and give food ratings... all to help break up the monotony of eating (three times a day)
I would like the moderators and the admins to take this suggestion seriously.

~You've got my vote~
I can share how to make such delights as: Grilled Cheese sandwitches - Not just any Grilled Cheese, but double, triple, or maybe even... if your brave (and hungry) the quadruple decker. Eggs - Scrambled with all the vegitables you like and soooo much fresh garlic. And sunny side up. Thats all I can think of now... Maccroni and cheese?

I was thinking about something like this for awhile, and I think it would be an excellent idea. However, instead of being a general food forum, it would be a Drug preparation forum. For instance people could post Recipes, and methods of preparing shrooms (both hallucinogenic and edible), Weed containing food recipes, and methods of extracting alkaloids from ethnobotanicals.

Its not actually that bad of an idea. I can make a kickass low sodium (vegitarian if you want) chili that won't make you shit your pants.

i wouldnt mind seeing such a thing, as i have worked in many places preparing many different cultural dishes ( i got a italion potato soup thats so good , if it were released to the public, would put the viagra company out of business!) but i wouldnt count on the forum idea making it . lol i tried hard with another forum suggestion to no avail . the decision is left to a FEW, not the COMMUNITIES wants / needs / demands / pleads

>the decision is left to a FEW, not the COMMUNITIES wants / needs / demands / pleads
If this decision would be left to what COMMUNITIE wants / needs / demands / pleads , then we would soon have 50 new forums.
You have to face it, that there are entier websites for exactly there kinds of topics you propose here. Don?t missunderstand me, I don?t have anything against cooking, I love too cook myself, but if you ask me, the Cooking forum is too off topic to be created at the shroomery.

How about someone makes up a website with a web board specifically for this purpose. There are tons of free bb out there.
You could post the link in your signature. It would most likely work out pretty well I think.

Well, I was hoping to include some... actually many recipes for using magic mushrooms... Would a free bulliten board host something like that? I know that many some web-sites don?t allow risky material like pron on there servers.. But the idea doesn?t sound completely out of reach. I would much rather the shroomery host this, it would make the task much more easier. People wouldn?t have to sign-up with new names... Plus I can see recipes (possibly) containing mushrooms to have more relevancance to a mushroom community than... A book club Oh well...
