not enough vermiculite...

i got some vermiculite after some hard ass looking but i only have 700ml of it. the pf recipe im using requires 840ml for 6 half pint jars. is there anything i can put in the vermiculite to sorta half ass it and not get more?

you could just reserve the verm. for the cake substrate itself,
and use filter disks or even sand instead of the verm. barrier pf uses.

have you tried petland? the pet land by me has everything. they had mica (verm). man you should just stock up on verm. im talking a couple of bags in the garage. a freind of mine has a shit load. he wont have to go out and get more for a long time.

don't get too much. i bought a 4cubic ft bag, for $18 and don't even use the stuff anymore.

ya i know the only place that i can get vermiculite is at home depot and they only have 15lb bags. wtf am i gonna do with 15lbs of vermiculite?
