Rust in my cakes

Hello everyone,

My dog ran into a little unexpected situation with his cakes yesterday. Well my dog took each cake out of its jar and put it in a zip lock bag. Then he crushed it up. Well he noticed that when he took the lid off one of the cakes he noticed some rust from the drill hole in the lid on the Ramsey Seal "Vermiculite" Well when he smashed the cake he noticed inside that it looked kind of clay colored, not red but a brownish red.

It kind of looooked like possible moisture had been rising up to the top and then the condensation would drip back down in the jar. Thus taking some rust color back with it.

That is what it looked like atleast. Have any of you had this happen before.

Do you know if this will cause any problems , throughout the rest of the process? Not to mention will it adversely affect the person partaking in the fruit?

Just thought I would ask you guys and girls

No I mean when I smashed open the cakes it looked kind of like redish brown clay down inside the cakes. in 4 locations right under the inoculation hole like it leached down in the cake.

Heh, check this out. May look like contams, but, its not. Donno if its rust or not, I think it might just be mycelium piss. This jar has been colonized like this for about 3 months. Im kinda interested if there will be any scerlotia going to grow.
