Waiting For Pines
    #769725 - 07/23/02 06:30 AM (22 years, 6 months ago)

So I finally took my cake out of the jar... I used a large jar, so the jar never really fully colonized. I took out the cake, cut off the uncolonized vermiculite layer and put the cake in my terarium...

Right on the first day, the cake grew a lot of really fluffy white stuff. It looks like snow. It has taken over the edge where I cut off the uncolonized vermiculite and a bit down the side of the cake. Im fairly certain this is not contamination.

There is little pilars of this white fluffy stuff in some places. But im not seeing any pines, and its been 4 days now.

Im sure the cake wasnt too healthy when I first birthed it. It was in the jar for 6 weeks. But there isnt any contams, and it does seem to be growing now that its in the terarium.

What will happen next? Will this cake even pine?

ok... first off... they're called "pins" not "pines"... heh... yeah, that fluffy stuff is healthy, but if it keeps on growing, you'll need to adjust your humidity downwards. at the fourth day after birthing, i would expect to see exactly what you're seeing now... the good stuff is about to happen (be excited). as long as you give it a little light and plenty of fresh air, things should happen... fan your terrarium 3 or 4 times a day. yeah, that'll help with your rampant humidity too.

I never played Chesea...

I played LS for the first 4 months, then moved to Catskills...

Been playing for 54 months...

Those llamas just started summoning again since the latest patch.

I should have read some more about birthing but I just wanted to make sure... I know it pisses you vets off when noobs like me ask dumbass questions.... But I had to do it.
