So in your post title you say a new species is found in NEPA, where is NEPA and where is the new species you say you found.

Both Amanita muscaria var. formosa and Gymnopilus have been known of for hundreds of years.

help me on this one. What gives?

If they were NEW species they wouldn't have a name yet would they? I mean they are newly discovered in Northeastern Pennsylvania, or all of Pennsylvania for that matter. Sorry for the confusion.

Do you have any pictures or discriptions. all you mention in your post up above was Amanita and Gymnopilus and not a thing about a new species.

How do you know it is new and not one of the 178 known species?

I thought it was at least 214....or is that just 178 with psilocin/psilocybin?

214 species of known entheogenic fungi of which 178 species are know to contain psilocine/psilocybine.
