Hunting in Pennsylvania

Hey everyone, I came here in hopes that maybe someone would know what strains of psychoactive mushrooms are in Pennsylvania preferably the Northwest corner up by Ohio and New York.
I have searched a lot of sites including Erowid and can't really find any information on psychoactive mushrooms in PA.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I would really like to go on a mushroom hunt. Though this late in the year we are getting 48 degree days and nearly freezing temperature nights so I doubt it's the time of the year to hunt. Still wanting info though!
Thanks in advance, - Silven

Gyms, and pan subbs. You might be able to find p.caerulipes, but it would take some traveling and searching.

This time of year, I'd stick to the woods. Look for Gymnopilus Spectabilis the Big Laughing Gym. Though I think it's almost a little too late even for these with how cold it is. Panaeolus subbalteatus can be found, but only in the hot season (June-July). Psilocybe Caerulipes might also be found, also in the woods though. So, I would suggest just going hiking and keeping a sharp eye. I plan on going cave/mushroom hunting locally today. I'll let you know if I turn anything up.

Gymnopilus Spectabilis can be found untill early/mid winter so dont worry about it. The're actually popping up more over here as it gets colder ( I'm in western,MA. Funny thing is that when ever I do find a active gymnopilus there never growing off any wood always in the grass My guess is the're growing from burried wood. Last gyms I found were beautiful never seen them stain so blue! Almost looked like cubies

I didn't go today, but I will go probably Sunday. Thanks Nutmeg, I read in the Audobon's Mushroom guide that Gym. Spec.'s season is only through October, and I wasn't planning on looking much more this winter. I guess I'll keep searching!
