anyone ever tried casing, and just left it out in the open? with top casing layer exposed to open air. and just stick the casing on the window sill and just mist or apply some water on top layer for mycro-climate humidity
anyone ever tried? how were the results and etc.?
thanks for any help provided.

Its want shroomwizard supposedly does and people that follow his guide. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

i think thats what shroom wizards tek is about.. unless he forgot to mention the terrarium, he kind of over simplified things, so i don't know.... i wouldn't mist the mycellia after they break thru (ever), but if you can keep the casing moist enough (ie have high humidity in your house) thru the friuting cycle i think it will work fine, but never listen to me ... im drunk usually...

I think this is what u r talking about...I am just starting to do this with a few changes. if you read that whole post, even though it will take an hour or more, you will get a lot of helpful info.

it would seem yu would have have our home high in humidity. maybe with a humidifier in the room or something

The ShroomWizards tek is what I tried first go round, okay only go round so far. I had not found the shroomery by the time I was ready to start, I know, I know. Anyway, I did it his way because it was easy, and seemed to be the best way to get a harvest, any harvest on my first try, also I had started emailing him directly and he was extremely helpful. I followed it to the letter, and had no contamination, which was a huge hurdle. I did get some harvest, but nothing like what a lot of other first timers that take a little extra time to set up a terrarium.
I am going to only do a few jars at a time for a while til I figure out what will work for me. I did 24-1/2 pint jars first round and could fill 4 of them with the entire harvest once dried. That really isn't much. I had growth all around the sides, I never got a "flush" per se, it was 3 fruits here, 7 there, hey! I didn't really know any better. I have some PR syringes, 1 Hawaiian, and 1 Stropharia. Think I will try the PR next go, just because I have 4 of those.
Its not a crazy idea, it has been tried _a lot_, you should be able to get a harvest, but _nothing_ like a lot of the pics you have seen on here. I am definitely going to set up a small terrarium for my next attempt. Good luck to you.

Stole the words right outta my mouth! I will add that I only tried shroom wizards method once or twice and didn't have much success. But that was early in my hobby, so it could have been an OE.
