Shroom wizard's grow guide...

So... I'm a newbie who's well read on growing guides, and have decided that I'll probably start off with Shroom Wizard's grow guide since I can't seem to get a hold of a syringe anywhere and already have a very fine sporeprint which I'd like to use. But! As evil as it sounds, I might try cultivating the mushrooms in a terrarium like the one described in Magic Mushrooms Growing Guide, only following Wizard's grow guide up to the point of pulling the mycelium cakes out of the jars. Is it bad karma to mix and match grow guides like this? I have all the setup to be pretty sterile in the actual innoculation of the rice cakes, and am wondering if it would be worth the risk, rather than waiting another week for a syringe to arrive in the mail. Another reason why I'd rather do the actual cultivating/harvesting in a terrarium, is that I won't be able to come home from work to spray the growing tray to keep the humidity high during the day. Suggestions? Comments?

Shroom Wizard?s guide dosn?t work very well. Use the PF tek. Buy a empty syringe from www.sporeworks.com if you need one or buy a spore syringe.

I was going to start on that too, but got a slew of advice saying it doesn't work, especially if you don't use a spore syringe. A spore syringe is pretty much a must-have item as far as I know, if you don't have it, don't bother. There is good news though:- they're not hard to get. The easiest and cheapest way is to get your own spore-print, get a descent syringe and needle and make your own. The PF tek at http://www.fanaticus.com/pf-tek.htm tells you how, so does the simple cubensis growing guide at http://growmushrooms.org. Both these are easy, cheap and loads better than shroom wizards - so I've heard. You can get a syringe at a hospital or one of the government places that give out clean syringes to prevent spread of disease (don't know if you'd have stuff like that in the US, what with Bush and all...) but anyway, that's that. You can also get them by buying them online from one of those spore dealers that advertise all over the shroomery and stuff. Hope that helps! I agree go with the PF tech, otherwise you will be wasting your time and will probably end up using the PF tech eventually anyway. You can get syringes from a spore vendor or you can get them cheaper from livestock supply stores.
Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.
