just boasting!
today i harvested one of my birdseed/dung/verm/sphagnum moss, pesa hawaiian casings. i got 250 grams wet. i wish i had i digital camera to post pics. they are abosolutely beautiful!! no abhorts, lovely fruits. i haven't tried the hawaiian strain yet but am anxious to see what type of trip it offers!

why big mushies? from what i've read it seems as if the smaller mushies are more potent so for someone that was wanting to trip (crazy idea) wouldn't the lil mushies be better than the big pretty mushies or what's the breakdown on big mushies vs lil mushies vs abhorts.....

i think if u have aborts they;re more potent than smaller shrooms because the good stuff keeps on going in them for awhile even tho they may not be growing larger, but personally, i'd rather have a bunch of large mushrooms than a bunch of aborts.

mushrooms stop producing psilocin/cybin around the time the veil breaks.
a bigger mushroom will have more alkaloids than a smaller one.
aborts just have more alkaloids per gram, but they are smaller, they just have more punch per gram, from what i've heard, so they aren't any better than bigger, heavier shrooms.

i dont believe this too be true. few weeks ago i had 4g of mushies that the viel had just broke. the next day i ate 4g of pretty mature mushies like in bluehoneys pic. i got equally high each time.

i had a single albino cambodian shroom that got to about 25g before the veil broke. I let it continue to grow till it was about 40-45g. I ate it after i dried it (4g dry) and it was definitely a 4g trip. My theory is that maybe albinos keep growing in potency after veil break since they are all sterile.

pleezr, you tripped two days in a row and it worked the second time? I've always read that doesn't work, I guess I read you build up a tolerance (although that seems wrong to me now) but I've never had enough to try either way (I would certainly choose them as a daily sacrament were it possible!)

yeah, its works! ive tripped twice in one day too. now LSD you need to double up the next day. im sure you can build a tolerance to shrooms. the second day is when i ate the mature shrooms, so if what your saying is true then teh means the mature were more potent. but i have no proof. im not saying they are more potent just in coment to your post.

today i harvested my second casing and came out with 269 grams wet~
theharvested shrooms from yesterday were dry and weighed in at 40 grams dry!
unforunatley i should have harvested my second casing with first because by this morning they had sporulated on EVERYTHING!

ralph, these shrooms came from a print sent to me by babyshroom. i made it into two syringes!

DANG Blu !!!!!!!...... Those look like they had a lot of TLC...What a nice pair......  I mean....... bunch ! I always look forward to your input in here and especially look forward to your pics :smile: I followed a lot of your advice with dung straw substrates and this hobby blossomed.... or should I say fruited... big-time !!!!!!  I love the PESA`s aggressive mycelia and the high is sweet.......... go to the temple....and have a ball :smile:

Xavia & Ralph, if that's from my print, then it came from a syringe I ordered from Ralphster to begin with!!!
I've just gotten far enough along to be sure that my print tek is sterile. I'm also growing more of this strain, so I'll make up a batch of prints for the fsr and get them to you. I should have some mature fruits by next week.
Xavia, congrats on your success. Wasn't sure you'd keep growing after the bf incident. Nice yields you're getting there. How big are your containers & how deep is your substrate?

they are sterlite containers made to holdletter size hanging files meaurements are 12 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 10.5 inches tall. i don't mix my verm and moss when i do 50/50. i use my hands, with gloves on of course, and sprinkle a little verm, then sprinkle a little moss, the bottom layer i make about 1 inch. then i use 1 and 1/2 quart jars which are dung spawned with birdseed, i lightly crumble and this make that layer about 3/4 to 1 inch thick. then i continue with top layer and do as before, sprinkle a little verm then sprinkle a little moss. it makes the top layer very fluffly and light and the mcelium or fruits have no problem penetrating it.

my harvest from my second casing was dry today and weighed in at 32 grams. so from two casings i have 72 dried grams!!! it going to be a NICE weekend!

oh! by the way, RALPHSTER, i have a print i would like to contribute to the fsr. how do i do that just mail it to you or what?

We better be taking some prints from the next flush, then. I just harvested a box slightly smaller than yours, and got 357 grams wet. My print was made at the same time as yours, from the same batch. I had to harvest in a hurry, so I couldn't take prints from this flush...I'll be better prepared next time. I grew mine off of wheat spawned with a brf/rye flour cake (nope, think it was 2 cakes).
I did get some nice Mazatapec prints I'll be sending to you next week, Ralph.
Xavia, where did you get your dung from? I'm thinking of trying some, but not sure what kind of access I'll have to fresh.

my "dung" is actually a mixture of dung, straw, ash, and unforunately a couple of sticks and twigs. i got it from a lady at work who has horse stables. i told her i needed fertilizer for my roses and she brought me a huge box of the stuff! forunately i live in oklahoma and the dung supply is infinite!

Yeah I too would like proof that smaller mushrooms and/or mushrooms without torn veil are more potent. I just cannot back this up from personal experience nor have I read any scientific reference that states that. Some of the best mushrooms that I have ever had have been giant fuckers with caps completely turned up, that were like 1/4-1/2 oz per mushroom. Perhaps they had tryptamine added to substrate or something but some of the best one ever have been very very large ones. Perhaps it has to do with just a few good strains that I amy have tried.
