i know this isnt exactly a "grow" question, but it is in root to grow, and it might be of some help to others....other then myself.

Are you sure its just the pressure guage? If it is then you can replace that rather easily. If you like, PM me and I can tell you where to find a new guage and a few tips on how to use your new (old) cooker

notsure whether the gueage is broke or not...im assuming so. it reads no pressure when i have the wter inside heated up, and the steam is flowing. im not sure if theres a way that i might be able to fix it myself or somehting. or if im doing somthing wrong..i dont htink i am as i read the booklet pretty thouroughly. i guess i should just start off with a new guage. its an all american pressure cooker, and the part number is 72. but if anyone else has any info for me (not sure what im looking for...maybe for you guys to tell me somehting i missed) anyway...again the info would be awesome:) phil

why yes i do...i leave it open until i see steam comming fome it. then i close it, supposedly to let the pressure build up evenly or something. but when i do close it...i see no pressure on the guage. i check for leaks, and the first time that i "sealed" it there was a leake..the second time i dint see one. but i figure that even with a leake the guage should at least budge. there is no movement woth the guage. this is a pretty old model.....number 907. and i cant find anything on this model on the internet.
im assuming that i do but i thought id ask anyway...i do need a rack for this thing right? it wouldnt be wise just to have th jars sit in the bottom of the pot would it?

Yes it must be the gauge because my PC goes up to 1psi even before i put the regulater on. You need a new gauge bro. My regulater starts to wobble slightly at 15psi. This is not how i would want to pc and could be dangerous. I know i could use mine without the gauge though because i'm already familiar with how it sounds at that pressure, just below and just above

PM Lana and see what she can do for you...you could also call hardware stores and maybe get one local tomorrow. Yes it's like any other hobbie(almost) it can get expensive. But the rewards are greater i think!!

if you find a hardware store that sells them bring your old one with you so you can match it up. The style can be different but it has to fit in the hole right to seal properly
