Is showering worth it?

I've been thinking that maybe people shower too much. I mean people didn't used to bathe as often, maybe a rinse in the river.
I can skip the shower and use a little patchouli oil instead. I can use the extra water for my herbs and the energy saved helps with global warming. The natural oils will be allowed to stay on the skin and the hair will also naturalize, for an overall very natural-looking appearance. You get that unkempt, sexy look and a build up of pheromones to attract the opposite sex.
It's a win-win. And with the money I'll save on soap, shampoo and deodorant, I can buy that expensive hemp shirt that has been on my mind. Or maybe I can donate to some peace or environmental organization.
Dude, it's just a great idea!

haha showers are great. you feel clean and fresh. people bathe sparingly because that is all they could do. if you have access to clean warm running water. go for it man.

Sometimes I don't shower for a couple days, sometimes three, rarely four. But I'm told that I'm smelly.

In general, people do shower too much. You're not supposed to bathe once/twice a day, well maybe water and soap is fine, but all those harsh chemicals and detergents in most shampoos strip the hair and whatnot.. you have natural oils for a reason.
Myself I find once or twice a week is good enough for me, depending how much I sweat/how dirty I get that week. I don't wear deoderant or patchouli or any shit like that.. I'd rather smell like BO.

It's so fucking gross. Whenever I smell it I feel like vomiting. The shit smells worse than B.O. in my opinion.

shit ive gone up to 2 months without a shower because i was pretty much living in the woods, there would be times during the weekdays i could chill in my friends house, but i never took a shower there from fear of being caught in his house without his dads permission. did feel nice to eventually get a shower though. now i bathe about 3 times a week if i have nothing important going on, but if im goin somewhere or doin something ill take a shower.

í think everyones would be seeing as you're not wearing just a tshirt that gets properly ventilated as oposed to coats and heavy jumpers that try and trap your warmth.
as for me, i shower daily, only shampoo ever 2/3days though. means i catch it just before it gets greasy, and just in general my hair looks healthier.

I wash my hair daily in the shower but other than the shampoo for my hair I don't use any soap or anything. No need, I don't smell as long as I've had water running over me. And I can't remember the last time a bar of soap has even been in my shower. But if I miss just one day of shampooing my hair it gets real greasy and sticks to my head and feels nasty but when I shampoo it it's light and fuzzy and feels good
But I do put on deodorant after I shower, so people around me who aren't too fond of BO don't have to smell it.
