converting avi movies to dvd format??

is there a program out there that converts avi files to dvd form so I can rip them?
any help appreciated, but I dont even know if a thing like that exists
at the moment I have the program handbrake for mac that converts dvd file to mpeg 4 form which is no real use except copying dvds.

ConvertXtoDvd is a nice and simple program to help convert .avi files straight onto DVD!

just checked it out
not convertible for mac and theres a free version but it watermarks the video output
costs 40

I didnt even try because I have a mac but usually I just kind the key or torrent it
just got ableton live for free :smile:

Toast will let you burn .avi's to DVD format.

thanks for the advice man
was actually reading on some mac forums and heard the same thing, so its in the process of downloading...found a torrent with the key.
hopefully its legit
