What type of Polypore is this?
    #7635361 - 11/14/07 02:13 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

Found this crazy thing when I was in the PNW. I didn't get to take many photos, and I didn't get to take a sporeprint, because I didn't want to damage it.

I was thinking it could be a conifer-base polypore, but i forget what type of tree it was on, I believe it was hardwood. Could be a mustard Yellow or Red Belted polypore though.

That's amazing!

It looks like a frog getting ready to croak or snatch a fly. It's really cool looking.

Haven't got a guess as to what it is though. Just wanted to make you feel good, because that's now my backround. I'll sift through my ID guide for you though.

is that really a mushroom species? Why have i never heard of that? Can you pull up any pictures of it, cause i can't seem to find anything on google. It seems to not think that it exists.
