hi sirshroomalot, look only in well shaded areas. i found this cube earlier this morning.. i was happy to find it.
i also found this pretty mushroom. yellow sponge gills that stain blue/green! the blue/green color does not really show up too good on these low resolution photos, but they do stain blue/green after one second. any ideas on what species?

the one that stains blue/green is a bolete some of these species are edible but as far as i know none have yet to be identified as psycoactive in any way. The only one that I have heard of that shows any type of bruiseing reaction is the Two-Colored Bolete (Boletus bicolor) feel free to corect me.. well just found enough to trip from tonight. keep looking, try a different field. best wishes with finding them at the shows in atlanta. should be no problem there. people who sell shroom in the parking lots dont really advertise liek "doses" "nugs"... the dealers usually just walk around looking for people by their cars sitting around, try to meet you a littlefirst personally and SirShroom,.. enjoy the shows! i dont think i will be able to make it there this weekend. 500miles north and then 500south and other things going on with me, just may stop me from seeing any of the summertour. first time in.. ..about 8 years that happen they gonna Flooood that place next two nights!

GGreatOne234, The shows were really good, not much fungus going around though. I only saw 1 guy with shrooms and he wanted to trade some for an extra ticket. I still had a GREAT time though. I will check another field probably tonight. I hope I have some luck. Is it possible that my field that produced sooo many shrooms last fall will not produce now? What will cause these changes? Thanks for your help... ~SirShroomalot

i dunno man, cubensis' growth perameters completely baffle me. give a couple fields a good look, but dont look Too hard, they dont really hide from me like other mushrooms do... ..ive spotted cubensis from a hundred feet away, and can identify it as a cubensis from that distance too. the caps are usually so rich in gold and brilliant orange that i know what it is before i even picked it. heheheheh ahhh the shroomery

I went out again today after a storm yesterday and another today. I must have seen a thousand mushrooms (literally) but not the one I was looking for. I checked in a new field and found hundreds of this one species of mushroom but i dont know what it was. This field looked really good as far as its potential for cubes, but I didn't find any. Do you think this means they don't grow in that field or they just aren't coming up there yet? I have found lots of different kinds of mushrooms in the fields lately. Weren't you finding a lot of other mushrooms before you found the cubes? Are you still finding them? Maybe I'll get on the bandwagon soon. I hope so. How has the weather been around Panama City lately? Shroomy I hope... ~SirShroomalot

yeah, when i say field I didn't mean to. Just habit I guess. I only look in the wooded areas of the field. My mistake. That is where all these other mushrooms were. Thanks though...Take it easy... ~SirShroom
