hi Kids; it's PGF (first trip in years)

Ok.

I have tripped a LOT.

I have taken 20 hits of potent blotter and been destroyed by it.

I am not a newb.

I am thinking of doing a psychadelic in the near future. Erowid tells me that this particular psych may or may not yield a "bad trip".

As somone who has always been prone to bad trips, I am thinking of ways to lessen the chance for a bad trip.

Ideas:

1) print out on cards things like you've taken a drug...it's all ok.....don't let it get to you and keep those with me....

any suggestions from you regular trippors?

you might want to tell us what kind. LDS, Mushrooms, or something else. My guess is mushrooms?

Its all about the setting. Some where you feel comfortable. Have some nice music you enjoy. I prefer having a few good friends i trust to trip with. If it gets to intense just remember its a drug and only lasts a 5-7 hours for shrooms or a bit longer for lsd.

it's not a common psychadelic.....
they all give me mindfuck....even lsd
but not MDMA............

IF youv'e tripped that much and done 20 hits at once then you should be telling us.
Why in the world, if you are prone to bad trips, would you ever drop 20 at once?
I don't think you need anymore but hey it isn't my business.

set and setting, it all depends on what your needs are. I suggest stay at home, have no pressing things to do for the next 24 hrs, lock the doors, put on some tunes (Floys, Shpongle, whatevr indie music is realy mellowing)

I did that one time but I made a big sign with pencil crayons when I was coming up.

I don't know how anyone can enjoy high-dose trips if they don't meditate. Get yourself into the right mindset and just be totally objective about it going in... and don't resist it! Accept it! It can make the difference between orgasmic ecstasy and bloody hell.

I agree with cyberchump.....GO WITH IT!

If I worry about having a bad trip it's almost gaurenteed.....if I just mellow out-meditate-or forget I took them all together I usually have a blast.

Whatever you take, just smoke a lot of pot with it. That has always helped me out of a bad trip, and the only bad trips I've had were ones where weed wasn't present. But then, its different for people, but its always a suggestion.

Welcome back! Long time no see'ums.

Positive vibes duuude! Definitely have some videos handy. I always use my kids Disney's Alice in Wonderland and Beatles Yellow submarine. They seem to stablize me. Music is good too. Nothing too cryptic. Also change your setting often if possible. Inside to outside, room to room and such. Sometimes a warm shower or bath works wonders too.
Good idea would be to write down a few great things about your family or loved ones to look at at meditate on, unless you have the Adams family history!

For me weed makes trips instantly intense and rather harsh and unforgiving. But I like that

If you're tripping hard and start feeling strangely bad, have someone hand you your freshly murdered favorite pet. Thats always good for a chuckle!

KIDDING!

Be in comfortable surroundings with 1 or 2 very close friends that you have no conflicts or grudges with that know what you're doing and at least one of them should be experienced with whatever drug and is straight at the time. Dose small and be in a good mood the whole day beforehand.
