Perlite + Humidifier?

Just a quick question. I am getting ready to do a casing, and I am wondering if my terrarium will work if I use both of these together. Or will it be overkill?

Overkill, with casings you don't even need anywhere near as much as you do with cakes and perlite can be enough and more on its own with cakes.
