Mod Chips

I don't know why I've never thought of this before, but I think I'm going to go to cash converters and pick up a cheap PS2 and go online and get a mod chip for it so I can play just about any game I can think of. I have little to no soldering skills but I did some research and found some mechanisms that don't require dismantling your PS2, but peoples' reviews aren't too positive; they say it's a pain in the ass to install. Any tips? :shrug:

yeah why not buy an already modded ps2 thats used?
