We like Beesly

You are having Autumn down there right now, right? Is that the best time of year to hunt your area? How about spring?

you are right mattso. It is nearly winter here. This is my first season of fresh picking. For many years I would purchase home grown cubensis when I lived where they do not grow. I have been in this sub-tropical climate for a few years and never knew this was the mother land for not only cubies but also copelandia. A few months back I stumbled into the shroomery. After finding many links and photos to study for identification, I went out searching. I have been amazed and wished I had learned earlier.
In short I have only experienced the end of summer/ autumn season. I hear they go all year round since the winter lows only reach the sixties farenheit. Will keep everyone posted of the lastest finds.

Do not know much about the goodie ones around you. Have you researched growing your own? This site has many threads that are chockers of growing techs.I do not know if the prints I have are viable. Besides for a first time grower you probably would want to rely on a spore source that is for sure. Then if all goes down the toilet you know it would be your mistake. You can do everything perfect but if you have an infected print you may never get started.

Surry, there are ten different types of freaky mushies in your state. click number 22 on that link I gave you . It gives a list of ones in NSW
It may be easier just to research them, maybe buy an ID book and you will be laughing. Literally
