I posted a couple of photos a few days ago of what I thought were p. cyanescens ((copelandia) and good some great responses, so am now sure of what I found there. Was out hunting this am (N Thailand) and found lots of mushrooms that look almost exactly the same as cyanescens. They are slightly larger, the stem is also slightly thicker (proportionally), but the stem is not hollow and there is no psilocybin blueing effect after you squeeze it. It grow on the same piles of dung as cyanscens, and is so close in appearance that it would be quite easy to mix up. Some pictures attached. Any help much appreciated. I have not taken a good spore print (still in progress), but the bit that has fallen looks black.

Ok fellow shroomers that are finding shrooms in abundance, What the hell are ya going to do with all them dry shrooms, (An Extraction). Check out the Advanced Mycology FOURM and have a look at the extraction methods, Then give your appinoun. Because geko knows that some people cant stomech fresh or dry shrooms and make a cuppa tea with shroom juice. And these methods are so fucking easy.
OOHH yea and how is all that hunting going in boxhill(gookvill) and Blackburn (smackburne) LMOL Anyway geko today checked a new patch also and they are in abundance compared to last year, And after so much shroom hunting, Walking the dog or not, (Who gives a flying fuck if your picking shrooms), Tell that nosey barsted fuck off and mind ya own dam bisness, (WHAT ARE YOU A FUCKING COP) ,(ITS DOG SHIT IN THE BAG if you have a dog with ya) And then simply continue gattering your shrooms. SShheesshhhh, Some of you dudes are so god dam paranoid.

Those are Panaeolus p antillarum.
mj
Common before cubes and copes appear. They can become extremely large or very abundant in a single manure heap and can have many heaps of them fruiting at the same time throughuout a single location. Not psychoactive.
mj
HEre is a cluister of them on a plastic bag from Hawaii.

Two large specimens from Koh Samui, Thailand

And a field with many6 patties with many Panaeolus antillarum.

Copes have been observed producing as many as two hundred specimens in a single buffalo heap in Thialand and in cow manure in Hawaii with up to a hundred or more specimens per dung heap.
And some fields can have all the dung heaps producing massive amounts of Copelandia cyanescens.
One needs to have years of field experience and has to have been in thousands of fields to learn the growing habitats and seasonal reasons of why and where to find their shrooms. I can go anywhere in the world at any time and find massive shrooms if i had the traveling expenses to do so.
I am thinking of a possible visit to Mexico this August to collect spore prints for P. mexicana and P. caerulsecens.
Have a shroomy day

It's not all about the money. Money is merely a necessary condition for travel; it's a means to an end. I like to think of money like gas in my car's fuel tank. Driving is not all about the gas, but gas is required to drive.
Those who make life all about money fail to realize that money can never be more than a means to an end; it cannot be an end in itself. One must not ignore the means, but it is pathological to consider the accumulation of money as an end in itself. I think if your goal is worthy, the means to achieving that goal will make themselves available. It's really all about how much you want to reach your goal.

Thanks for all the help. That clears it up a lot, especially knowing that once the Panaeolus antillarum have shown up and died down I can expect some more of the cyanescens and goldcaps to come along. I think its going to be a good season!
