got to thinking~~~ Can I buy a wormwood extract offline (they're fairly available) and add this to a bottle of Absinthe Redefined, the new stuff that they make without wormwood and thujone or whatever??
if so--how would one go about tripping off of this green concoction

i have seen resonable amount of wormwood extracts but however they are in chemical suppliers and i will not break the shroomery's laws. But there not hard to find at all just do some searching dude

I know of at one individual dying from doing exactly what you propose. Be careful.
Incidentally, presuming you're in the U.S., it's not illegal to make your own absinthe for compution as long as all you do is steep the alcohol in wormwood. If you try and refine or distill the product, you've unfortunately broken the moonshine laws.

damn, i was just wanting to try a taste of of this green trip-juice the way they made it back when it was legal
so maybe I should buy some wormwood (anyone know where)? i wonder if its hard to grow and if seeds or cuttings are available

You're wrong. It's perfectly legal to steep wormwood in alcohol and consume it yourself, as I mentioned.
Trying to import commercial Absinthe or distill your own is, however, illegal in the U.S.
I've the real stuff (I used to live in Praha, Czech Republic) and it definitely messed me up. But I definitely didn't see any green fairies...

It *IS* illegal to make real absinthe because that involves distillation! But, as I already mentioned, that's more the moonshine laws than anything else.
However, steeping alcohol in wormwood is not at all illegal. It's just an infusion. Much in the same way a lot of bars make their own vodka infusions with herbs etc.

It's also worth nothing that several countries have relaxed a bit on the topic of thujone. For example, Canada now allows pseudo-absinthe drinks with low thujone content and low (40% as opposed to 60-70%) alcohol content.

yeh, the US now makes this Absinthe redefined shit- the wormwood/thujone content has been lowered to where it doesnt mess you up which makes it "ReDeFiNeD" but maybe Ill soak some wormwood in vodka and add this to it, see what happens
