the problem is it wont and i dont know whats going on, the sun rises goes strait over my house and sets and i dont know if the plant is getting enought light or what to flower its in the shade most of the day but gets indirect light all day and some direct light for 1-2 hrs in the afternoon. should it be in full sun?

You should have put it in the ground for flowering. My first year growing wild dagga I had it in a pot and it barely developed the beginnings of flowers by the fall. The following year, I put that and a cutting in the ground and got tons of flowers by some time in August. I'm assuming if you live in a warmer environment you could get it to flower in a pot. But putting it in the ground definitely made the difference for me. Unfortunately my cuttings rotted and I was left without wild dagga this year. So if you put it in the ground next year be sure to make cuttings early enough so that if they fail you can get more. I waited too long. My cuttings rooted, but then developed mold. The key to making cuttings is to only leave the top few leaves.
I grew klip dagga from seed this year instead and my plants flowered a lot quicker. I started them in the house during the spring and moved them to the ground at anywhere from 6-12 inches. I was wondering if I would have flowering problems but they went nuts with them. The tallest plant was about 9 feet! The stems were about 2 1/2 inches thick at the base. They definetly do better in the ground. Thinking back too...i can remember that my potted daggas were very rootbound.

cutting the plant like most any other herb induces more growth. yes they usually don't flower till about august depending which region you reside in.

Hey Dreamfox. While you're probably trying to do good it's rather annoying that you've bumped some old threads back onto page 1, One is over 6 years old. Only bump old threads if you have very important information to include as it causes current threads to fall off the first page, these are more important than 1,2 and 6 year old dead threads.
No real biggie, just thought I'd point it out before you bump all of our old dagga threads. Check out the forum rules and guidelines too.>> link
