adding holes to cool mist humidifier???

Ok, my friend wants to use his Vick's cool mist humidifier to humidify 2 terrariums at once. He's planning putting duct tape over the main output of the coolmist, then making two new holes off to the side for the 2 hoses. The question is, will humidity go through those tubes. Because if you look at the inside, it appears as though there is a fan-type device sucking water droplets up into the area that leads to the main output hole. He's already drilled a hole and hooked up a hose and there's a lot of condensation going thru the tube. Any suggestions of ideas?? Thanks!!!

Also if your friend doesn't like the duct tape he can mold a wad of epoxy putty to fit right down into the output opening. It would probably be more sterile and easier to keep clean than duct tape.

I have found it much easier just to use the built in output. I bought a length of 1" (I think) pipe and a T adapter and a few elbows and a valve. I made a contraption from the pipe and put a valve on the main stem before it is split. The valve I never use it stays wide open and I have a timer from Eckerds that you can adjust in 15 minute intervals. Mine is on for 30 min every 2 hours, so that provides 12 air exchanges per day and keeps my RH at 90% for these two tubs. The pipe is just stuck in the output flush with the bottom of the output and is sealed with silicone, it is pliable so you can move it around to adjust for your terrarium height. Here is a pic if you dont understand.
