Most likely something in the paneolus genus. most likely not particularly edible, poisonous, or hallucinogenic. If it was in this group, the spores would be black, and the gills would look mottled at first (the spores mature unevenly) and eventually black

Yup. And since this mushroom is not a psilocybe, and is a panaeolus, they guy who said the spores are purple must have just been hoping to see purple. Of course, I could be wrong (but I'm not).

I cheated. Even if I didn't see the mushroom, 99% of them growing out of cow poop in a temperate climate are panaeolus. Also, it looks like one, in a big way,so I figure the odds are 99.9% Still, I could be wrong.

Looks like a Pan to me too. Panaeolus spores can have a dark violet black color to them------------------ "I think of myself as an intelligent, sensitive human being with the soul of a clown which always forces me to blow it at the most important moments." J.M. Northern Touch Spores

Thanks for the picture arcing. Of course!, You would have Know if it was a magical shroom, they look Special, it is almost like alot of thought went into growing it. ..They bruise Blue. I knew after only a millisecond of looking at its Brown stem that it wasn't magic. ..and that cheap-ass cut down the center of the cap. Magic mushrooms look and FEEL special. They bruise Blue. Magic seeps out of them when they are touched. I have picked Cubensis here in florida that are very strong. Those are the Ones that will not even bruise unless you make them bruise. The mushroom that you are holding in your hand in that picture is only a common mushroom that appeared on cow dung. Look at the big slit down the cap, that is a weak mushroom. Those are a the mushrooms that mean nothing.
Now get out there again and find some Magic.
