The instructions are lost and I can't find anything through a google search. Here is the model: http://www.manttra.com/cgi-bin/product_display.cgi?pcode=101_AL
Any idea what psi it gets to?
Cheers,

It'll depend on the rocker you're using there.
Most pressure cookers have two settings, 7.5 or 15psi, or just go to 15psi. Too far below, or above, defeats the purpose of PCing. I wouldn't worry too much about it; odds are if you have a pressure cooker it'll do the job just fine.

Looks like you have a 10 psi that's what i have. Not the same model or manufacturer but I have noticed that if it doesn't have a temp meter or some time of monitor it's most likely a 10 psi the bigger one's are usually bigger than 4 quart too.
Just what I have seen. Like I said I have a 10 and it works just fine.

I have a Manttra 5 quart and in my instructions it lists that it is 12psi, works out fine and does the job.

10-15psi will be just dandy. Any PC you have will do the trick. It's not some magical number you have to hit...pressure = higher boiling temperature = high ambient temperature = more bacteria killed.

have heard a few people here using 10 psi fine, some suggest to just pressure cook a little longer with 10 psi.
U might be able to get a 15 psi weight for it, u could contact them ask them what the psi rating of it is and if it could withstand 15

ok if the pressure cooker came as 10psi then it probably is only designed to handle 10psi and would likely blow up at 15, but u could always ask?
As for sterilisation times i have read that at 10psi for an 90 minutes is fine for grains??
Is this wrong? I have a pressure cooker that does 15 psi so i have never had to know about 10psi sterilising.
