There out there, just have to look. I don't live in Florida, so I can't honestly say how pickin' weather has been around the area you described. However, here in Georgia the Cubensis have just started to fruit within the last week or so. I'm pretty sure Florida has had plenty of rain over the past few weeks. You should be able to find something.

Scope out the cow fields and pick one. The ones that have taller grass usually produce well, even in drier weather. The tall grass is like a terrarium, holding in moisture and heat. Perfect for fungus growth. Also look in low areas of the field where fog is likely to collect at night. Anytime there is a pond in the pasture, there is usually good picking around it.

Good Luck,

The Lizard,
