So Who Has been Zapped by an Electrical Fence?

The first time i really got zapped was just south of Tallahassee Florida at night. The fence was 5' and i needed to grab onto a tree limb to get over easier. Well apparently the tree limb must have been rigged up to the electricity because it zapped me real good, but i still made it over. I only found 1 Cube in the field, and then the only way out of the pasture was to get zapped again.. so i got juiced a second time on the way out.:)

Another time i was at work (land surveying) in Lithia Florida and i was holding the prism pole/rod at the property corner of a donkey pasture. My party cheif warned me the fence was electric but sure enough i got zapped when the rod accidently made contact with the fence. It was enough to almost fall over hehe good times:)

Anybody else been zapped?

My friend took apart a laptop screen and was working on it while it was on. He touched the wrong thing and gave himself a black eye.

i have when i was like 15 running from some cops i cut through a cow pasture and got triped up in some tall wet grass that also had a fallen electric fence in it. Got shocked pretty good!! It sucked

As a little kid, I once tried peeing against an electrified fence. Tried it just once, but that was good enough for a world record jump.

I can say that fortunately, I have never been zapped by an electric fence. A friend of mine that used to have a cow pasture with a fence that was live told me that to get zapped, the fence has a pulsating charge. He also warned me not to pee on the fence too. I took his word for it and did not test it.:cool:

its happened to me a few times...
a couple of weeks ago i was out stalking pidgeons at the edge of a field... i had my air rifle pointed at the floor (i didnt notice i was actually holding the barrel below the wire) and when i saw my target i lifted it up and got zapped... DUH!

best thing to do is to grab someone elses hand and then grab the wire... the person at the end of the chain gets the zap :lol:

have also seen a kid pee on an electric fence, he jumped clean off the ground lol

yes i know my comment has nothing to do with mushroom hunting...

It's all fun and games until they jump away and let go of you... then you're screwed.

I've been shocked a few times... Never while mushroom hunting, just being a reckless kid.

On a separate note, I've also been shocked by an electric catfish. An electric fence doesn't have shit on a nice jolt from an electric catfish. Man that hurt.
