yeah so last week I found out the wires that look like they are cloth but have tiny metal wires twisted through them pack quite a punch :smile:

I went through once, no problem.. but on the way back out, I think I discovered their little tricks.. if you happen to make contact with two wires at the same time ZOTTT!, so I found that laying on the ground and rolling into a field works much better, because you're only going to make contact with the bottom "wire"..so you're good to go.

Anyone else got a surprise this year?

PS: It's not as bad as I thought.. believe me, it's not pleasant, but it's not horrible either. Just scared the shit out of me. Actually the two times I've been tagged by a stingray were worse than this.

I used to get zapped by neighbor's electric fence all the time when he had horses... This was years ago, like back in the mid '90s.

Just barely touching one wire was enough to shock the living hell out of you. :stoned: Good times, good times.

while trying to cross a electric fence it zapped me and i fell onto the barb wire fence, the barbs dug into me, i was hooked to one fence and getting a pulse zap from another. it left some scars and the field was dry.

Holy fuck guys that shit SUX - and man trigger - i feel super bad for ya thats like a wicked World War II story my 4th grade teacher would always talk about:eek::eek::eek:

i got one ghetto lawn mower that doesn't shut off - i have to manually ground the sparkplug to the engine block with a screwdriver- once with my pops here showing him how i do it - i went TOO close with my hand and BAM:shocked::shocked:
jumped like a fairy and threw the screwdriver:rotfl:

Ive seen good friends get zapped by farm style elec fences - didnt' look to appealing AT ALL

Ive been lucky i always took MY TIME and crawled thru elec fences with my belly on the ground gettng full of cow/sheep shit

worth a dead "shitty" shirt :crazy2::laugh:

My neighbor's electric fence got me through my sleeve when I was reaching over one of the wires. I was wearing a baggy shirt and one of the sleeves hung down and touched the fence.

About this time last year, a few of us were on our way to a 'free party', we ended up walking through a cow field, pitch black, merely following the sound of electronic music. We were faced with what looked like an ordinary barbed wire fence. So I said "I don't think this is...char" ZZZZZZZZZ! It fricken was, even the wooden posts gave you a little shock. I'd grabbed the barbed wire through my jacket, which is now melted on the sleeve.

When we finally reached the party, we realised we could've got to it if we'd stuck to the road we were orginally on :rolleyes:

A couple weeks back,I was bending down to pick a mushroom,and it was drenching wet,and the humidity was in the 90's.when I bent down to grab it,and the wire arced,I think,because I don't recall my full forehead touching it,well,I got 4000 volts to the head,which hit me like a ton of bricks! I thought I was dead,and I laid in the wet field for a minute until I figured out what happened.I used to wonder how thin wires could keep a Big beast like a Cow or Horse in the pasture,and now I know how it's done;-)

Was along time ago since i got zapped, when i was a kid we used to grab someones hand and grab the fence with the other hand, that way the only one gets shocked is the one not holding the fence. Ahh good old days! :eek:

When I was a kid, I was leaning over an electric fence to pet a horse, and my leg touched the fence.  It zapped the horse through my hand and killed a fly that was on my neck :eek:

I got my foot caught in an electric fence when I was 7 or 8 years old. I don't know how long I was feeling the surge, but it felt like an eternity.

I pissed on an electric fence once when I was about 11. Very uncomfortable.
