I would have been a lot happier with the bag of morels, but, I plucked about 2 grocery bags full of Panaelous subbalteatus. (See pictures in this forum.. ehhe)

Lizard king got quite a bit too of weilli.

One time I found about 500 cyans growing naturally in my backyard.

Picked a carryer bag of libertys caps about 5 years ago normally only get about
1 to 5 ounces though.The bag was picked from one field in sussex,my best score as yet.

me and a friend picked a few walmart bags full of cubes that dried out to over 5 ounces of caps :grin:

My largest find was about 750 wet grams of P. Azurescens this November. I've only had two "finds" though - the other was a 300 gram find of the same mushroom in October.

Not sure of weight, but my last weilli hunt of the season yeilded three paper lunch bag filled to the rim with wielii. Previous hunts yeilded almost the same.

i remember  bags full, but not garbage bags full.
in the gulf coast, on a good field on a good day, you couldn't get all of the shrooms.
bagfulls for anyone who wanted, really.
i have seen azures as abundant in spots, but the weight/time relationship is different,and i cant imagine it for libs or cyans.
you would be talking about tens of thousands of mushrooms.

last week, brought back 20 wet lbs of azures. 5 years ago brought back 100 wet from a week worth of picking. have found azure and cyan beds as big as my front door before. thats like a solid fruiting as big as my door. got shot picking libs in a field in sequim, myself, and 3 other people each had 2 paper grocery bags FULL of libs. rocksalt from a shotgun is a bitch... still have the scars. have seen a haul of 5 dry lbs of cubies from alabama.. so thats about 50 wet lbs. basically get a wet pound or 2 every time I pick cyans in seattle. more on good days, rarely less.

ive seen some of those big ass patches ,but i never pick more then i can eat .
its safer that way , and my garden takes care of me pretty well . :grin:
i guess the biggest find was at ---- air strip ,but i wasn't exactly alone , there where more people there then cows :grin:

20 wet in a week isnt that hard, especially if you get shown around by a local AND pick her house patch. they are everywhere. shit come with me and I will prove it. I am back from california on the 28th late, and I will be back to work on the 30th, so if the 29th works for you, we can go. a dozen or more spots should give us that easily. remember, a week isnt all at once, just what I brought back in my car.

I tried to send you a PM, but there seems to be an error.

Thanks for not taking offense to my bullshit post. I may have the 29th free. I do want to get one more hunt in before the season is over. My last visit to the coast was rather unproductive. If possible where would you like to meet? I have my own transportation and will be travelling north to arrive in Astoria. Let me know if you are serious about hunting. I don't feel comfortable hunting in groups if you know what I mean.

I am a college student studying microbiology. My interest in fungi is both toward edible species and psychedelic species.
