I do love myself hun and yes it was fun exchanging high fives with you :smile: It's just too bad though, i meet the first woman in 6 years tht i would ever consider having a serious relationship with  and she's been so physically assaulted amd abused by older men.......she would just freeze up being around me, we're still friends though.....

I'm pretty hard on myself a lot of the time. this is something I recognize and that has also been pointed out to me by others (some who know me well and others not so well). Sometimes loving yourself is the hardest thing to do, even if you know that this love is all one truly needs. Sometimes loving yourself means accepting you are a "good", "kind", "intelligent" individual/person, which for me means I become less productive temporarily and more vulnerable. Vulnerable is a place no animal generally tries to put itself into. But in the absence of vulnerability to others, one seems to be vulnerable to themselves...maybe there's no way to metaphorically win

I think people tend to judge what they see in themselves.

If I say, I am weak and hurting, and you judge me for it...you are probably weak and hurting yourself and you despise yourself for your own weakness. It's easier to see our own faults in others.
