I highly suggest the following for the highest potentcy.
Just as the veil stretches to the point you think it can stretch no more, pick it. The method as described for actually plucking the mushroom by shroom77 works great. If your too nervous about when the veil is "about" to break then pick it right after the veil breaks. It is after the veil breaks that the mushrooms slows greatly/stops producing psilocybin.

Harvest them when the veil (underside of the cap)tears away from the cap and the bottom of the cap is pretty flat.

To harvest just slightly pinch the bottom of the stem where it is connected to the casing and twist. Should pop right off.

Serve and enjoy. hahaha!!!
