Man Urinates On Dying Disabled Woman

A man who admitted urinating on a disabled woman as she lay dying in the street is now facing a prison sentence.

Hartlepool Magistrates' Court heard how Anthony Anderson, 27, robbed the 50-year-old woman of "any dignity".

The magistrates agreed that their maximum sentencing powers of six months in prison were insufficient and so they transferred the case to crown court.

They were told how Anderson shouted "this is YouTube material" as he urinated on - and later smothered shaving foam over - the victim, who had collapsed near his Hartlepool house.

Christine Lakinski, who suffered a number of medical problems, had been making her way home when she fell ill and stumbled into a doorway.

Anderson had been smoking cannabis and drinking at his home when a friend arrived on July 26.

They spotted Ms Lakinski, and Anderson initially tried to rouse her by kicking the soles of her feet. He then got a bucket of water and threw it over her.

The victim never responded and Anderson then urinated over the woman.

The act was filmed on mobile phone and Anderson then got a tin of shaving foam and covered her from head to foot before leaving her lying motionless.

The woman was later declared dead at the scene, having suffered a pancreatic failure.

Prosecutor Lynne Dalton said: "Although his actions did not contribute to her death it was appalling behaviour that robbed her of any dignity in the last hours of her life."

After the hearing, the victim's brother, Mark Lakinski, said: "We will await the outcome and just hope he gets what he deserves."

Anderson, who admitted outraging public decency, was granted unconditional bail until October 22, when he is expected to attend Teesside Crown Court.

I'm not sure why the fact he was drinking and smoking pot was relavent.

I have never been so drunk that I felt the need to viciously degrade someone.

Hell, I do that sober as a bird.

Give the man a usual prison sentence for assault. When his term is up put him on probation for 2 years. Every weekend for those two years he has to stand at that very spot he urinated on this poor lady and wear a sandwich board saying "I urinated on a woman in the last minutes of her life instead of being a decent human being and getting help."

why dont you stop having knee-jerk reactions to every single news story and maybe try to read what they arent telling you.
like, he didnt check for a pulse, so he probably didnt even think about the fact that she was dead, he probably just thought it was some vagrant who had passed out.
It is really no more "horrifying" than people fucking with their passed out friend.
But because we have been instilled to have some useless, illogical, unfounded reverence for anything that is dead, we start shaking our fists and harumphing.

This guy should get public indecency at worst. I think the only thing he should get is a ticket for that.
Jail time for peeing on someone? especially someone who is dead?

he robbed her of dignity? actually it was probably this news story that did that. This could have been a very quiet civil matter, but the news has to ride the "shock and awe" wave and act like they are just the messenger.

you see your friend drink a bunch of liquor, then puke and pass out, you can fuck with him knowing he's only passed out from being drunk. you see someone passed out lying face down on the street who doesn't even rouse when you kick their foot, then common human decency tells you at the very least not to fucking piss on the person. he should have called the cops. even if he didn't want to deal with them, just be like, "look, there's someone passed out on the street at such and such address. you deal with it, i don't want to" and a life may have been saved.

it's not a knee-jerk reaction due to unchecked references. it's a matter of common fucking human decency.

and it isnt a felony to be an indecent human being.

Im pretty sure that if he was complicit in her death through negligence that there would be some sort of mention beyond the quote "Even though he had nothing to do with her death".

Chances are, nothing he could have done would have saved her life.

also, look at the headlines for this thread.... "Man urinates on dying disabled woman"..... from what I have read, it should say "Man urinates on dead woman".

Seriously he probably thought it was some homeless person that was fucked up and passed out on his front door step. If some homeless person was passed out on my front step I would not only urinate on them but shit on them too, that'll teach em a lesson. I highly doubt he knew the person was dead, and if he did well then maybe give him probation or something.
