I want to get into martial Arts (Need a bit of help)

It's something I've always wanted to get into. I just don't know where to start and there is so much out there. I came very close to starting krav maga classes but it ended being something like 100$+ a month (is this the range I'm looking at?)

Anyhow...whats a direction I should go in as far as the type of fighting style? I'm doing this for the work out but I really want it to be applicable to real life (I want to know how to properly defend myself in a street fight)

ive done shotokan and goju-ryu.

if your training for self defence i would suggest kick boxing + shoot wrestling

you can learn medieval european marshal arts for free, there are groups in most areas that don't charge.
