fermenting Kanna

Ok i just got done fermenting some Kanna and have a question for someone who has done it before and knows.....
is it supposed to smell really nasty when fermenting??? mine smells like shit.
I am done with fermenting in the sun for 7 day in a ziplock bag and also drying it and heres a pic......

hows it look????

one of my plants died , i used a heat way method of fermenting, that looks about like what i got, Ive read it is supposed to stink while fermenting, mine did have a strong odor at one time i dont remember when.

yeah I tried doing it with the heat method too but it tasted very bitter compared to the prepared Kanna I got form a vendor. He gave me like 20 grams for free and I did many experiments on it.....

smoked= didnt feel shit and it was harsh as hell
snorted= ouch
sublingual 200mg= placebo?????
sublingual 500mg= hmmmm a little above placebo
sublingual 1 gram= yep nice nice trippy feeling kinda. LSD like feeling in gut. Nice alert state of mind. feel very powerfull and confident.

I made a coffee filter pouch and chewed the kanna swallowing the juices im not sure if it was placebo or not, i was high on weed and took kratom then chewed the kanna.

I took a bunch of fresh material and put it into a ziplock bag and squeezed it all till all the juices came out. It looked mostly liquid at that time. closed the bag and put outside in the direct sun for 7 days. I opened the bag to vent it every once in a while. after the 7th full day I put it into a ceramic baking disk to evap the liquid. It was dry in 2 days.

When I fermented my Kanna I put a few plants, roots and all, into a glass jar, and mashed it thouroughly with a spoon. Put a lid on the jar, and set it in the sun for a week. It slowly turned brown and had a very sweet smell, but it never smelled rotten or bad.

I never feel anything from snorting, but smoking a little with Cannabis seems to change the effects of the weed a bit. I'll have to give sublingual a try, but I don't have that much left.

yeah I didn't put in the roots.
hopefully I didn't fuck it up.
it wasn't an overpowering rotten smell.
I wonder if it could make me sick lol
if so next time I will just use the oven method.
