I have 2 now... one has a fucked up DVD drive that I need to get fixed. I hope I can send it back and have M$ do it for free...

ahh.. i suppose that makes sense that prices have dropped since the release. i didn't really think about that. but even still, $400 is a hefty price to pay (i'd need the second controller so i could play my roommate) for something i'd use on the weekends at most.

dunno, when i was in high school and gamed all the time, i could see myself working during the summer to save up for one and really enjoying it. but anymore i've got other things consuming my time, and many many many other things consuming my limited finances.

It's sad that there are more than 10 million Wiis in consumer hands and still, no one buys games for it. 3rd party support will be dead in a year or two.

Actually there are more 3rd party developers jumping on the Wii train now than before, they were waiting to see how popular it would get.

Multiplayer, to me, means everyone is at their own home with their own 360, playing over the magical interwebs. :shrug:


  I'm not much of a gamer but it's kind of fun to get online, crack open some beers and drink with my brother who's halfway across the country and play the video uno game on 360, you meet a lot of other interesting characters from around the world, and some really kinky fuckers who enjoy having sex in front of strangers, (not always a good thing).

XBox 360 has Geometry Wars. That game is fucking SICK. I'm seriously considering getting a 360 because of it. Just imagine dosing and playing that game, it would be fucking incredible!

That game is crazy, but not even close to Space Giraffe... I can't even tell what the fuck is going on. I think you HAVE to be dosed in order to play... Check out the demo!

The thing I really like about Geometry Wars is the controls. Requires some coordination, you can't really mash buttons and be good.

:thumbup: I own 17 systems and can say w/o second thought the the XBOX is garbage. Fuck graphics! they are the LEAST important thing in a video game.

I loved the gamecube, I'm not totally behind the Wii yet but I am reasonably satisfied right now, The real test will be when they have a bigger library.

I got my Wii for RE4 Wii Edition. Worth the money. Zelda:TP kicks ass too, Red Steel sucked though. I'm looking forward to some tight online games, mario strikers charged looks okay.

I'm looking forward to Animal Crossing though (I love to get blazed and fall asleep to this game).

That's what my 6 year old neighbor plays on her Nintendo DS... haha.

And to whoever said graphics are the least important thing... uh, no. Good graphics draw you into the game, and blur the line between the game and reality... Really good games have really good graphics. If it didn't matter, we'd still have 16 color VGA. :shrug:

There are some old games that are great, but the graphics sucked because of the technology limits. If they had better graphics, they would have been even better.
