the whole wii thing

wii has generated such huge internet buzz?? even more so than ps3 id say. nobody really even cared about gamecube...this wii though, it has people talking. thing is its old technology too. its only slightly more powerful than the first xbox. i have 360, i dont want ps3.... but now all this hype has me wanting a wii. i could definently get into a new zelda game

I think the Wii could do big things considering Nintendo's consistency as far as making really fun games goes. Oh yeah, you could get a Wii + Xbox360 for the price of the PS3, I think. x_x

Most of the attention it is getting is because of Zelda. That's pretty much the only reason I'm interested in the Wii. I think the game will kick ass, though. Not only is it supposed to be better and more epic than Ocarina of Time, but the whole "use the stick controller as a sword" is very cool, IMO.

But since I am a Final Fantasy fan, I'm mainly waiting on the ps3.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy thru and thru. My original NES still sits proudly next to my GameCube. I will get a Wii eventually, but not at launch. I'd rather wait a bit. Besides, my gc games are getting cheaper and cheaper at the used store - good for me.

My wife and I have our own DS Lites, which we play together frequently... thats my Nintendo investment for the timebeing.

I'm gonna buy two on launch day and save them for ebay right before Xmas. Depending on what the price is for them on ebay I may keep one or sell both. If I sell both I'll just buy one after Xmas.

I dont care, I bought a used X-box from a friend, it kicks ass...I have computer games, but I like the games on the x box better.

They are supposed to be very cheap(compared to past consol releases)

$250 I think, nintendo may very well kick Sonys ass with this one.

I guess the two main differences is that the Wii version is widescreen and the Gamecube one is not... and that you don't get to use the nifty little joystick/sword action....which I'm not really excited about as much as the game itself.

I prefer to sit back, smoke a bong and play my 360 games. The Wii is for fat kids who have no activity... The joystick is motion based for almost all the games, so you'll end up dancing around your living room like a fairy... phooey.

Gears of War kicks ass, btw.

dont get me wrong gaming is fun, occasionally. But seriously people get a life, get laid or something or play real games with real people. or better yet go outside and do something exciting!! Jesus!!
