perlite base in large bulk style casing?

i was wondering if it works well in a larger casing bulk style? i am going to case my whole 40 gallon rubbermaid tub. i had already asked a simmilar question here but am wondering if casing size will make a diff. dont ask me to post this in advanced i already did and it was pulled.

You can use perlite in your tub, you will just have to put more in than if you were using a smaller tub. Just fill the bottom so that it's about an inch or so deep. Remember, you want it so that when you squeeze a hand full of it, barely a drop of water comes out...

Your casing alone will provide enough humidity. No need to add perlite. Just mist when needed
