Is it still too hot in Western Washington to pick for Libs?

I have looked for two days in nearly all terrains for liberty caps....I live in everett, WA.....where are they??? it is fairly warm 60-75 F....it is fairly humid as well. I really need some help...any info is useful (This is my first year hunting)

I just wanted to add that I have been looking in farm fields (grass ranging from tall to short) I made sure that there were cattle in the fields. I think it just might be a bit too early for shroom hunting here....not sure tho.

need more rain and i think that liberty caps show at the end of the season. give it a couple of more weeks like the end of sept for the shroom season to begin.

others will come with more info.

do a search in the threads for liberty caps and you will find tons of info. it helps to look for info rather than waiting for it to come to you.

well it is confusing when some sources say that the liberty cap season begins in late august...tis very confusing...

I would recommend waiting until Fall, when the rains begin, and hunting for Psilocybe cyanescens growing from wood chips. Ps. semilanceata is somewhat rare in your area, where as Ps. cyanescens you are much more likely to find when the season begins.

I have picked Ps semilanceata as early as September 9th....mature fruits....I bet upvalley where its a little cooler they could be fruiting by labor day. Its been a crazy wet summer bro
