shady grove is an out of this world album.

but that's beside the point, congrats on getting the mandolin, just make sure you stick to it. alot of instruments that are kind of out of the norm are hard to get started on, so it's mostly up to you to keep it going.

me and my friend both got a mandolin and a banjo, but we both dropped it after some time, we stopped really getting anywhere with it.

i hope you learn alot and play beautiful music for everyone! :cheers:

mandolins are kick ass i play my friends all the time they are really easy to get started on too. i can dig some jazz mandolin project, yonder, and old and in the way!:jamming:

I bought it out of the blue. A friend of mine was going to get one so i was like what the hell i'll probably just waste the money on something useless if I don't buy one..

i learned a lot there on banjo, harmonica, and now fiddle (although the fiddle lessons aren't as good as other instruments)

congrats on learning the McCartney tune as well.
i haven't heard any of his other new stuff...
kinda scared to..

Hope you enjoy it, they're so much fun to play. I have a rogue myself that i got for pretty cheap, but a few weeks ago the saddle broke and i haven't gotten it fixed yet.
