If your name is John Smith, then use Jonathan Smith, or Johnny Smith, or J R R Smith. This is doubly useful - as if the package is otherwise anonymous, you'll see the unusual variant of your name on the address label and you'll know what it is. Then, when the package comes, leave it for a day or so before opening. Don't take it to your room, just leave it in the hallway. If, by some amazing ill-fortune, the cops do decide to do you, you've not opened it, not touched it and it's not even addressed to you!

First off... I've had about 40 orders returned to me in the last couple of years.
Not counting another 30 that I was contacted through email and we figured out the correct addy.
39 out of 40 were all U.S. orders. The one foreign order made no sense at all and I even contacted a friend in Amsterdamn to see if he could make sense of the address, and we both agreed the guy was missing parts of the addy.

is reading this.. I have your letter with your pan trop prints still sitting here. Dont worry.. I wont post any U.S. addies... mushrooms are legal (or tolerated) in the netherlands. And that addy above only that person will know.

Ok.. back to U.S orders.

Most of the returned orders are from ppl that put just their initials, no first or last name, and going to general po box. Many have been from colleges.
People, if you share a general mailbox with someone, the post man is not going to know who J.S is. there are many students or names with initials J.S.

This does not only apply to ppl using a general mailbox, but most of my returend orders are from ppl using only initials. The mail man may not recognize this, and out of respect for you, returns it.

Also a good portion of them are "no claims" or "nobody at this address by this name" or "insufficiant address".

Free money is nice, but I dont want ppl to think I ripped them off because those 40 never got their order.

It takes a month for returned orders to get back to me from the post date mark I send them usually. I keep the name/addy in an encrypted file for 2-3 months after that.
If I dont hear from you, its deleted and you loose.

So I highly recommend you use at least your first name, or first initial and last name.
If you dont have a printer, write legitamatly... your sloppy hand writing is not my fault if I cant read it. So when you write your letter.. slow down, and write your name and addy clearly.

One last thing.. those of you that are that paranoid you want to give fake names, who you'll be lucky if your postman even delivers it...... I DO NOT KEEP RECORDS !!!!
When I get done filling orders, I go down to the fireplace and burn your letters.
Ask anyone that has ever emailed me for replacements, I always have to ask them to send me their name and address again.

I DONT WANT YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS ...sorry...if that hurts.... sad but true... I dont send out Christmas cards except to my family

If I ever get caught out at the farm, (which will not happen) dont worry, I'm going down alone. YOU have nothing to worry about as far as I or PF, or Workman, SporeChicks or Capt. Max are concerned. We dont want your address except to merely mail you what you paid for. After that.. its gone.

In my case situation... your order form doesnt even make it to the trash... it makes it to this beautiful fireplace
