Salvia Divinorum will be considered a Schedule I substance in Illinois starting January 1, 2008. :sad:

That was fast... wasn't it just a month or two ago when the reports started coming out that the government was starting to look at salvia? This is so fucking lame, I'm interested to see who the first person to go to jail will be for salvia.

If we're lucky, it will be one of the stupid teenagers that helped make it illegal with their lame ass youtube videos.

(10.5) Salvia divinorum (meaning all parts of the plant
    presently classified botanically as Salvia divinorum,
    whether growing or not, the seeds thereof, any extract from
    any part of that plant, and every compound, manufacture,
    salts, isomers, and salts of isomers whenever the existence
    of such salts, isomers, and salts of isomers is possible
    within the specific chemical designation, derivative,
    mixture, or preparation of that plant, its seeds or
    extracts);

They just banned every compound that exists in salvia divinorum.

Watch out, guys... Water is a new schedule-I substance :smile:

Well, now is the time to make your displeasure known in Illinois. While you are still a law abiding citizen experiencing yet another of your freedoms being crushed. Speak up and if maybe one or two of the right people hear you, it will make a difference even if they are not drug users.

Indeed. It's just a matter of time before they schedule it on the federal level, I'm sad to say.
