My parents gave me a 1993 Cadillac Fleet wood Broughmont

It was an inheritence for them, which was useless to them, and they sold to me for $1000 dollars.

Its a useless car, pretty much brand new... 50,000km on it. After sitting in the cold/sun and dust at shambahala for a week, the electrical system has started peetering out.. Its so big, its hard to park, and its loaded with power which is bad for a kid with a lead foot.

I wanted a truck, and they co-opted me into taking this. Its expensive to insure and feels horible to drive, everyone stares - tries to race, its a heatscore, bad on gas, etc.

However,it is the lap of luxury..

It was my dad grandparents, so id like to honor them.. but honestly, its too much vehicle for me.. I was wanting a mazda b2200 or a small Chevy s10... Something to beat around the bush with.

I think im gonna trade/sell it. Its valued around $6000 i think..

what do ya think??

idk...my friends black and had a caddy...hes pretty much the whitest black person i know and he didnt buy the caddy because it was a caddy but just becuase it was cheaper lol...and i loved riding around with his stock stereo system (which was actually pretty nice stock speakers) and smoke a blunt lol...and then he hit a deer and doesnt ahve it anymore lol:thumbdown:

Hell yes. It's like sailing a boat. In fact, to do it proper, you really need a full crew, just like a PAVE-LOW helicopter: four guys on the corners to watch for collisions, door gunner, navigator, co-pilot and captain.

You can't go wrong with a Mazda B-2200 pick-up truck. I had a 1986 model & back then I was contract-hauling loads of newspapers to deliver to other paper-carriers.
Sometimes the weight in the back would have me so low, the mud-flaps would be dragging. I worked the shit outta that truck & it went 240,000 miles before giving out. My 1st clutch replacement was at 180,000 miles. Those things drive forever & I'd recommend 1 to anybody looking to buy a pick-up truck.

actually the $1000 dollars went to a new battery, oil change, tune up and overhaul.

Im sure they made a little money off it, but thats reasonable - they're just trying to teach me responsibility and its understandable to think that if you spend your own money on something, that you'll take care of it better.

either way im greatful. I think ill sell it, buy a truck for 3000-5000 and put any extra money towards post secondary education.

yeah thats my plan.

Its 4.7litre or maybe 5.7L...

really powerful, hit 180km easy, crazy acceleration - way more power than anything else ive driven.

Its ok on gas considering, but its still a hog. Someone wrote "gas guzzler" in the dust on it last nite.

I just washed it top to bottom and cleaned all the leather etc.

hope someone wants to buy it, im not sure what to list it for?

Man, coming into town afterwards you could tell straight off which cars had been at Shams all weekend and which ones hadn't. And yeah I doubt that seemingly freezing night temperature to the blistering sweaty heat in the day didn't help too much either.

$6000 is a lot towards a new car, especially for something you basically have no use for once you buy another. If your grandparents are anything like mine, I doubt they would mind if you were to sell it for a more economical vehicle.

Personally I would keep it though.

Yep, thats the exact car.. except mine is quite a bit nicer looking inside (more old person), cleaner and newer engine/interior... with a padded roof option, and a tapedeck/cd combo.
