Eating before you go to bed

My mom always bitches to me about eating close to the time I go to sleep. She says you're not supposed to eat for three hours prior to bed. Personally, I think it's bullshit. I frequently eat within varying proximities under three hours before I go to bed and I always feel perfectly fine. Maybe some people can't handle it, but it's definitely not a problem for me.

Yeah, sounds like about the same as eating and then sitting in front of the TV all day not using energy.

I heard the reason was you get stomach cramps at night, but I have never experienced anything of the sort.

I always have a little snack prior to bed. No cramps, and I still weigh under 125 lbs.

I eat quite often before bed, sometimes i eat a full dinner before bed. I have had fry ups before going to bed, though i work from 4pm til 12am and dont get in till around 1am.

and no i dont weigh 12 stone

Im 9 stone on the dot.


Eating habits are a little od, i usually dont have breakfast, have a snack at work, then dinner, then well another dinner before bed.

I've had lots of people/articles tell me that eating before bed will keep you awake longer (I'm somewhat of an insomniac), but I always get really sleepy after I eat so I say "aw fuck ya'll, dis shit be makin me tarred" and eat before going to bed.
